Researchers at the University of Leicester in Britain have discovered a remarkable fossil sheds new light on an important group of primitive marine creatures. The findings are published in the journal Current Biology.
The fossil 525 million years old, belongs to a group of creatures with tentacles that live in hard tubes. So far, only the tubes had been observed in detail but the new specimen shows clearly the body's soft tissues, including tentacles to feed.
