22 to January 30, 2009 With the participation
600 artists and performers, 42 groups and performing 105 concerts in nine municipalities of Sonora, from 22 to 30 January will be held the 25th edition of the Festival Dr. Alfonso Ortiz Tirado, International FAOT 2009.
For nine days, will be attended by artists from Cuba, Chile, Uruguay, Canada, United States, Norway, Cyprus, Spain and Mexico, and Sonora will host artists from the neighboring state of Sinaloa, entity invited.
Alamos Cajeme Navojoa, Huatabampo, Etchojoa, Empalme, Guaymas, Hermosillo and Nogales, will receive the best exponents of operatic singing in gala nights, led by soprano Olivia Gorra, who will receive the Medal "Dr. Alfonso Ortiz Tirado "and give a concert on the closing night (Friday January 30 at 18:30, Palacio Municipal de Alamos) accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Sonora (SFO), led by James Demster. Pianists Rogelio Riojas-Nolasco, Elina Savvidou, Teresa Rodríguez, Borja Mariño, Ángel Rodríguez, Rodolfo Ritter and Daniel Villegas and guitarist Pablo Gomez.
There will be a Night of Remembrance by Estrella Ramirez and Paco Barron. As is tradition, continue the night at the University of Sonora, which this time presented to the Met sopranos Cecilia, Dana Chavez and Gisela Machado, accompanied on piano by Hector Acosta.
